Dear Wen shares her no 20 Simply Neutrals,
Thank you sweetie, you are so kind, to also show my medaillons ,I
created for dear Liz.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week I show a card again,...seems I`m fond of
creating cards, this year, lol. And as always nature ,pops up as
my favorite choice. I loved the stamp with Queen Anne`s Lace ,and
had to have it, and also the geese stamp, from That`s Crafty.
My dear friend Lynne https://lynnesbowsandbelles.wordpress.com/ ,
had newly send me a wonderful gift
of Walnut crystals , to make ink, and I tried it first time
on this background, and love the soft brown tones it creates.
The Queen Anne Lace, was first stamped with white ink, and then
highlighted with a Sharpie. The little signs, with favorite words, are made from
cork and I also placed two wood cuts , and stenciled using a Dinky stencil, and paste.
We were happy to have our daughter and grand kids, for some days in Easter,
and we spend some hours in Snogebæk, to walk the beach, and see this, very unusual
view of the rocks on which the island rests.
Normally this is totally decked by the sea, and no one of us had
seen this before
Isen`t it spectacular ?
How was your Easter, dear friends?
I hope you spend some lovely hours, and that the sun was shining a bit onto you.
Sending you all,
hugs and love
Dorthe
Hei kjære Dorthe. Så fint bilde du har laget. Du er virkelig en kunstner.
Det var da utrolig spesielt på stranden. Flotte bilder du har tatt.
Her har solen tittet frem og jeg håper den varmer deg også nå.
Klem fra meg
Such a beautiful card Dorthe, both the queen Anne's stamp and the geese are stunning and you used them so beautifully here! The coast line looks spectacular! Glad to hear you had such a joyful Easter! Here the weather is still very cold, but maybe Spring will arrive one of these days...
Beautiful card Dorthe, so gorgeously inked, stamped and embellished. Those rocks are amazing, so unusual to see them naturally patterned like that and the angle of your photo is fab. Nicola x
Very beautiful Neutral dear. I have never seen such an interesting bit of beach with checkerboard rocks. Happy time with family...Priceless!
The card is beautiful, dear Dorthe. I love the nature theme. Queen Anne's lace is such a pretty and delicate flower.
I'm very happy for you that you were able to spend some time with your daughter and the grandkids. The rock formations are amazing. It's great that you had blue skies and could enjoy some time outside.
Mange kys and hugs :)
Your beautiful nature inspired cards are always a delight to see Dorthe!
Queen Anne's Lace is a favorite flower of mine (but in truth there are so many flowers to L♥ve aren't there). Yours look beautiful. The little cork pieces are a wonderful touch too.
What a treat Mother Nature had in store for your visit to the beach with your dear ones. An extra treat to see what is most often hidden.
Happy you had a nice Easter with your sweet family.
Hard to believe April is right around the corner.
Such a beautiful card dear Dorthe!
I love the Queen Anne's lace as well~so very simple and beautiful at once!
Lovely to hear you were able to spend time with your family for the holiday-hope it was wonderful!
How very interesting those rock formations are! And you say they have always been covered by the sea? I wonder how they came to be this way? Was there a city in this place originally? Curious!
hugs from NY in the USA, Jackie
Always such peaceful views of your world. Family at the sea, a simple piece of driftwood, perfect. Your sweet tag, white seed heads, which I see all the time here all curled in now waiting to grow again. Xox
So beautiful - I adore Queen Anne's Lace and it looks wonderful stamped and highlighted in white. The walnut crystals give such a great vintage look - beautiful altogether. Looks like you've been having a lovely outdoor time over Easter with your family.
Dorthe
The walnut ink produces a lovely colour - I am such a fan of this product! The white of the flowers looks so pretty against the background, in your favourite tones, I also love them. The scene you created with the geese flying overhead, it is as though a photograph from nature especially with the cork and wood details.
Beautiful art!
So lovely for you to share photographs of your family. Precious time together.
Wishes
Lynne
Hello Dorthe, I've been away for a while. I can see why you couldn't resist the Queen Anne's Lace stamp - just what I would choose, too. You have created a sweet card with all these elements. Your beach rocks are very different to any I have seen. I'm glad you enjoyed your Easter with your family.
Hugs,
jesse
Easter was indeed beautiful and sunny here - just lovely.
I love the card you made Dorthe - Queen Anne's Lace is a favourite of mine and I love how you have used it for your beautiful card. You do such lovely work Dorthe, and make very beautiful things.
The rocks that you have shown are so intriguing... thank you for showing this. I hope you have many more lovely spring days to enjoy before the hot summer arrives.
many hugs,
jillayne
Hi, Dorthe - I was home visiting family, as well. I love that you are close enough to enjoy your grandkids as often as you do. As always, I love your beautiful neutral color cards - you never cease to make me smile. AND...that sea wall/stones of yours is incredible. I'll bet it was QUITE a surprise to see what was under that water, after all this time. XOXOXO
My favorite part of this Neutrals piece would have to be the Queen Anne's Lace. You've done a lovely job on the entire thing, but that is my favorite bit.
Happy Spring to you!
Hello Dorthe!
I always really enjoy visiting your blog very much. There is always something pretty to view here.
I thought that I would offer a suggestion for you to think about.
Over at my blog, there is a category I have titled "Brown." As you may imagine, not all of the things within that category are, indeed, just brown. I have a great many NEUTRALS that you might find usable. If none of these are to your taste, I will completely understand.
Here is the link to my "Brown" category:
I've never seen such an amazing beach Dorthe. It is so unique and I am so glad you shared it. I would never have known such a place existed! I know you must have had the best time with your lovely family. We must enjoy those younger ones while we can, right?
sending much love to you...
