SOMETHING DIFFERENT

A notebook cover / book made for dear Martina on her birthday .
As I know she loves her garden, it is the theme for it.
And yes , not my normal style , but I wanted to create with
more colors for her , and this is what came out.

There are many different fabrics, and laces, too , and I
used paint to give a golden look ,in some places -

Different laces , borders, and a little bling .

The first spread is decked with Tim Holz tissue ,and I made
a pocket of the beautiful embroidered fabric , which was holding
a tag-card for Martina. Maybe you can see that the cover is made so
you can take out the book, and put inside a new one , or you could use it
for loose papers .
The velvet ribbon is tying it together when closed !!

Here with the tag inside pocket .

Thank you so much for looking and commenting, it means a lot to me !!
January is soon ending , and I hope your months has been a good one.
Wishes for a lovely new week to you all.
Hugs and love

MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE !

This started with a under-paper  -used to spare my table for paint
and texture paste  -, to which I adhered music paper,
Danish poems papers and after sprayed with same tone as
already on the under-paper -

The beautiful Catherine Moore stamp was fussy cut and adhered
on top , and teabag paper added underneath her . The sweet ,wonderful
apple stamp, which I received from my lovely friend Donna, thank you my sweetest friend-- , was also stamped and then fussy cut , and Lynne`s beautiful flower was stamped directly onto the
paper .

The woman , apple ,and flower ,all was treated with lovely
Beeswax, -a gift from my dear friend Lynne , -I gave it several
layers, (sorry you cant see it ) and it stands so beautiful and
shiny after having been buffed a bit with a soft cloth .Thank you my dear Lynne.
Also she got a little extra hair from black threads :-)

You can see the great effect from the spraying ! I also added
both lace and rough rope band ,  sewn to the collage, on sewing machine ,
leaving long ends of black thread to hang ,--the lovely postmark and stamped a
line from Lynne`s Affirmations , onto corrugated cardboard , were adhered.

The paper was adhered to craft card , and a knitting yarn
was added to hang the collage.

So we already have Friday again, and here it is still
very mild, -no snow, and only rain , but I saw the sun today,
and that was wonderful !!

Hugs and love to you all,
and a happy weekend

behind the dye cut wreath pattern, and that shiny beautiful paper,
was part of my Christmas gift from another very dear friend, Terri.
Thank you so much Terri, for everything .

The last gift came from Karen http://roosterheaddesigns.blogspot.com/
She dearly send me some little bags of Prills , the tiny round white beads,
and I fell in love with them, at once, and had to order more for me ,lol.
I was lucky to find a UK shop selling them .
My dear Karen, thank you so much for your gift to me , and for your lovely
card, too.
