FOREVER BEAUTY fresh or dried !!!

Already almost half into April , oh how time fly ....

I hope this card can make it into  dear Wen`s  Simply Neutrals # 21
even it has a soft color tone .

It is an almost all paper card, but knowing me, you already guessed
there sneaked a piece of fabric into this creation, too.

There are many layers ,from papers, : old brown bag,
wallpapers  and card stock.

The butterfly `s are die cuts, painted after, and so are the flower.

The old wallpaper was already embossed, and gives a wonderful effect
when inking over it !!

My last photo are dried hydrangeas from last year, some of them kept the beautiful
shade of former color ,- and am as beautiful, as when fresh blooming.
Now they are only trying to set the leaves free,
but soon there will also, be new flowers.

Thank you again dear Wendy, for hosting this beautiful event,
I hope of you seeing the post, will also find joy in posting
something to take part, in the party !
You can read all about it on Wendy`s blog ,
see the link above !!!

Hugs and love from Dorthe

What a stunning card Dorthe, beautifully put together. That butterfly is spectacular and I love the flowers too and how you coloured them both!

So beautiful Dorthe with the hint of delicate colour and I am amazed that the butterfly is a die cut. So beautiful the transformation with the way you painted it.
Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers and I also loved dried hydrangeas. I dried some a few years ago and finally, last year I had to bin them because they had become too brittle and were falling apart.
A beautiful, gentle blog post.

Ohhh dear sweet friend, your card is stunning! The layers, the textures, the muted colours, all so beautiful. And that gorgeous butterfly. So beautiful! And lol, yes, where would we be without a little piece of fabric sneaked in here and there :) The dried Hydrangeas... oh, I love Hydrangeas, fresh or dried! I have dried ones (Annabel) from last year too, but I'm even more happy to see that the fresh ones are starting to grow leaves again. Soon there will be fresh flowers again dear Dorthe! Sending you hugs and beautiful weekend wishes, xx

Dearest Dorthe- this card is beautiful. You know I think you make the most beautiful cards-- the way you combine textures is a true art. Those dried flowers are stunning. I love the way the dried blooms continue to hang on the bushes all winter long..

Hi Dorthe, what a gorgeous card you designed. I just love the pretty details and love how you added some fabric in there too.
Your dried hydrangeas are so pretty. I can't wait for mine to bloom this year. Last year there was not one bloom all season. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the weekend and week ahead. Blessings my friend, xo

This is just gorgeous Dorthe! I missed it, and am so glad I got to see it!
I hope spring is there in Denmark now. Today, it is supposed to hit 75 F degrees here. Seems spring got skipped and it went straight to summer!

Beautiful layers, mixing paper with fabric and those sweet butterflies. The colours are so wonderfully soft, with a hint of colour in the wings of the butterflies.
Dorthe, Hydrangeas are one of my all time favourite flowers. A few years ago I dried the heads of the flowers but over time they became too brittle and if I touched them, they crumbled in my hands. I love the delicate colours of the flowers you share with us.
So happy I managed a visit to your beautiful blog and to view your serene and exquisitely created art.
