Already almost half into April , oh how time fly ....
I hope this card can make it into dear Wen`s Simply Neutrals # 21
even it has a soft color tone .
It is an almost all paper card, but knowing me, you already guessed
there sneaked a piece of fabric into this creation, too.
There are many layers ,from papers, : old brown bag,
wallpapers and card stock.
The butterfly `s are die cuts, painted after, and so are the flower.
The old wallpaper was already embossed, and gives a wonderful effect
when inking over it !!
My last photo are dried hydrangeas from last year, some of them kept the beautiful
shade of former color ,- and am as beautiful, as when fresh blooming.
Now they are only trying to set the leaves free,
but soon there will also, be new flowers.

So glad you got some fabric into your card and it is such a lovely neutral shade of taupe... your hydrangeas dried so beautifully, I adore the faded color! Thank you for sharing, xoxox
Hello Dorthe, I’m just over from Carolyn’s blog and wanted to say how much I like this card. It reminds me of old-fashioned Valentine's cards, very beautiful. Barbara.
Hydrangeas are my very favorite flower! Your card is beautiful!!

Ohhh, I like this card very much...especially love the dark edges around it all. Stunning, Dorthe. And, who knew hydrangeas would dry so beautifully! I may have to get some just to try this! Happy Tuesday, dear one - stay creative! XOXO
Hello dear friend. This is such a lovely card, I especially love your painted butterfly, the effect is beautiful!
hugs and JOY,

Hello to you Dorthe~ I was happy to see your post of this beautiful card!
It is a masterpiece my friend! The layers are vintage wonderful, and I love all the textures you have incorporated here (like the burlap & ppr bag) The wallpaper is amazing! Love that. & the butterflies and flower gorgeous~
I like your hydrangea's : ) Are you feeling Spring yet? It is still too soon in CO to say the word! LOL But we do have some warm days.
Bless you friend! Hugs, Karen O
What a stunning card Dorthe, beautifully put together. That butterfly is spectacular and I love the flowers too and how you coloured them both!
I love Hydrangeas and yours has kept its colours so well!
So beautiful Dorthe with the hint of delicate colour and I am amazed that the butterfly is a die cut. So beautiful the transformation with the way you painted it.
Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers and I also loved dried hydrangeas. I dried some a few years ago and finally, last year I had to bin them because they had become too brittle and were falling apart.
A beautiful, gentle blog post.

Hi Dorthe! Your card is so beautiful, especially for this time of the year. I love the many layers that you used along with the muted colors. And of course, the hydrangeas are always #1 in my book. Have a great week! Hugs, Sue

Ohhh dear sweet friend, your card is stunning! The layers, the textures, the muted colours, all so beautiful. And that gorgeous butterfly. So beautiful! And lol, yes, where would we be without a little piece of fabric sneaked in here and there :) The dried Hydrangeas... oh, I love Hydrangeas, fresh or dried! I have dried ones (Annabel) from last year too, but I'm even more happy to see that the fresh ones are starting to grow leaves again. Soon there will be fresh flowers again dear Dorthe! Sending you hugs and beautiful weekend wishes, xx
Dear Dorthe,
The card is so beautiful and I always love to see your wonderful work.
The dried hydrangeas are really pretty and love the gentle hues and they make a pretty arrangement for a long time.
Yes, almost half way through April and time does fly. Thank you for the kind note you left me.
Wishing you a lovely weekend
sending hugs
Carolyn
Hello Dear Dorthe, Your card is soooo beautiful. I love your painted butterflies and all the grungy layers of texture. Those hydrangeas are such beautiful neutral colours, too. Thank you for such a lovely post, Dorthe. Hugs to you,
Jesse
Dearest Dorthe- this card is beautiful. You know I think you make the most beautiful cards-- the way you combine textures is a true art. Those dried flowers are stunning. I love the way the dried blooms continue to hang on the bushes all winter long..
Sending my love..
Vicki
Simply wonderful layers - such different textures and great dimension. Really charming with the butterflies just perched there and that beautiful flower.

Hi Dorthe, what a gorgeous card you designed. I just love the pretty details and love how you added some fabric in there too.
Your dried hydrangeas are so pretty. I can't wait for mine to bloom this year. Last year there was not one bloom all season. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the weekend and week ahead. Blessings my friend, xo

Have a nice new week
This is just gorgeous Dorthe! I missed it, and am so glad I got to see it!
I hope spring is there in Denmark now. Today, it is supposed to hit 75 F degrees here. Seems spring got skipped and it went straight to summer!
I'm sorry to be so late seeing this Dorthe. I thought I had checked in. It's an absolute beauty. Neutral shades are my favourite and you've make a beautiful piece with them here. Nicola x
Dorthe! What an exquisite piece!! I absolutely adore the paper layers and the textured look you have achieved with them! Gorgeous!! xo
You combine paper and fabric so beautifully Dorthe!
The touches of paint add a richness too with your pretty butterfly and blooms.
"Forever" beautiful!
Lovely blooms still holding their beauty from last season too.
oxoxo
Beautiful layers, mixing paper with fabric and those sweet butterflies. The colours are so wonderfully soft, with a hint of colour in the wings of the butterflies.
Dorthe, Hydrangeas are one of my all time favourite flowers. A few years ago I dried the heads of the flowers but over time they became too brittle and if I touched them, they crumbled in my hands. I love the delicate colours of the flowers you share with us.
So happy I managed a visit to your beautiful blog and to view your serene and exquisitely created art.

Just adore the painted butterflies Dorthe, another beautiful card. Ruth xx
