Simply Neutrals #14

Simply Neutrals no. 14.

This very neutral doll I created for my  dear friend Suzy http://suziqusthreadworks.blogspot.dk/
as christmas gift.
She is ,as you can see on her face, happy to be on her way, to
Down Under, and to Suzy,

She was supposed to be maybe a girl with more zest, and kicking,
(can you say such in English?) but this kind and neat girl, took over.

And when the doll speaks herself, it is not easy to change ,lol.
She is wearing old fabrics and laces .
Her underwear is painted on, as is her boots !
And her shawl is pure wool ,to keeep warm.

This is my nature right now, so very cold and icy,
as you can see all nature is packed in ice from the waves throwing
water to the shore.

So very beautiful, is Father Frost, when visiting.

I hope you are keeping warm and cozy, the ones of you
in the northern hemisphere, I know that my dolls is having a
feast right now, with sun and beautiful warm weather, in
her new residence !

Sending you all
warm hugs and love
Dorthe

Happy New Year, Dorthe - your doll is as lovely as the two on my Christmas tree from you. I smile each year, as they come out. Just precious! And, I've seen your nature photos on Facebook already - these are incredible, and worthy of framing and hanging. I hate that it is evidently THAT cold there, but it sure made for some lovely sights. Wishing you a wonderful 2016, my friend...looks like you're off to a grand start! XOXOXO

Oh my Dorthe, the doll is beautiful! She is her own person and has decided who she wants to be! (and yes, you can say such English as zest and kicking! now we understand her personality better: )
I love her neutral colors, laces, jewels, and the warm wool shawl. Her face is so happy! Thank you for sharing. I love the frosty nature pictures too Dorthe. (I have a few frozen photo's I will share soon:)

Oh Dorthe, she is stunning! Suzy is going to be over the moon with her! She has such softness in her. Her shawl is so beautiful and her tiny feet too. You have created a precious gift!
Your pictures of ice and sea are wonderful. But chilly looking! lol.
I hope you are having a good week. It is quite cold here, below freezing but not terrible.
Hugs to you,
Terri

Oh hurrah - more lovely neutrals for 2016! Your doll is absolutely lovely - what an adventurer to go all the way down under - I'm sure under her demure looks, she's ready for anything, and I'm sure Suzy will love her.

Amazing frosty pictures - it's still not really very cold here, just grey and wet and miserable - so it's lovely to see the clear air and Father Frost visiting.

Sweet Dorthe, we are keeping warm here in the Arizona desert. Mr. Sun shines quite often but he's been hidden for a few days now. That's okay with me, I remember cloudy days from living in Chicago.

Blessings to you and your family. xxx Rhonda

What a beautiful gift dear Dorthe - you are a real artist!
Suzy is so lucky.
I'm surprised to see Ickes on the sea shore - it must be so cold.
Wonderful that you can be warm inside and create to your hearts content!
Wishing you happy January days my sweet friend.

Oh she is just the most gorgeous handmade doll Dorthe! I know this because she is now living with me and I am ever so grateful to you for your love and friendship which is so dear to me!

The details are simply amazing from the structure of the doll, the sewing, the amazing vintage lace tiered dress with her petticoat sewn from silk and lace, the beautifully painted face and plaited hair adorned with faux rhinestones and roses She is dressed in the sweetest painted laced up white boots and from her hand dangle a string of hearts!
To keep her warm she wears a thick cream lace shawl tied at the front with a seam binding bow!

Thank you my dear friend ever so much for gifting me with a sampling of your HEart and love which I will always treaure!
Hugs of love,
Suzy

Oh Dorthe, It's so lovely to see your beautiful friendship with Suzy and see your gorgeous exchanges. Your doll is just right for Suzy - calm and peaceful. I love her white lace-up boots and vintage lace dress. She has a sweet face too, and that hair looks so soft. Wow, it must be so cold. Ice near the sea looks weird to me -but I guess the poles are that, too! Happy New Year, Dorthe. A year of creativity good for the soul :)
Hugs,
Jesse
