HELLO BLOGGERS ,HAVE YOU SEEN AND READ THIS

I DON`T KNOW HOW MUCH IT WILL AFFECT YOU, OR ME, ,BUT
HERE ARE THE NEW RULES FOR FOLLOWING  VIA FRIEND CONNECT!!

We announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.

As part of the plan starting the week of Jan.11th, 2016 we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

I HOPE TO STILL BE ABLE TO SEE YOU ALL, AND FOLLOW YOU ALL ,ALSO AFTER
JANUARY 11 th..

HUGS FROM DORTHE

Hi Dorthe~
Thank you! for letting us know! I happened to be posting when I saw your post.
Yikes I hope this will not effect all of us in a difficult way - and we can all still stay connected. I am just too IT illiterate to understand a lot of these rules : l
Wishing you a great week-end dear friend~ Karen O

Thank you dear Dorthe for your heads up!
Another blog friend Vee brought it to our attention too.
The old system worked well for me so I for one wish Blogger wouldn't change things.
I find Google+ confusing!
I'll be interested to read what others think.
Have a happy weekend earnest Dorthe and I hope we can "stay connected"!
Warm hugs and love

Hi Dorthe!
Thanks for letting us all know, it seems they are going to try and get rid of blogger one way or another, no wonder so many have gone to just a FB page, sad but blogging has Decreased so much, I included blog less for the simple reason ( no one is around or has time) Miss the old blogging day when we all were really active!
Hugs to you sweet gal and see you on FB when all else fails. xoxo Marilou

Aha! I don't care about my numbers really, but did notice a drop recently (all in one day). I thought maybe I had said something wrong! ;-) ;-)

Hmmmmm, this is interesting and unfortunate for anyone who never wanted a Google account.
I hope you are having a good week Dorthe. It is still cold and rainy here. Hope you are getting a little sunshine : )

Nå skjønner jeg. For ei uke siden mistet jeg mange følgere. Da er det i gang her. Håper jeg får beholde de jeg har igjen.
Ha ei flott helg

The only thing constant is change. I am not good with change...especially when it involves technology. I will still follow you dear...

I am in agreement, i wish they would not change things and google plus is a bit bewildering. I hope it does not affect too much.
Thanks for posting my friend.

Hi Dorthe, thank you for sharing this too. I also shared the info on my blog. I also hope to be able to find friends as well. Looks like we have to add another venue for those that do not have a google account. We will still be able to find those with it. Just not those with other accounts.
Wishing you a great weekend. Blessings my friend. Celeste xo

Good Morning Dear Dorthe, thank you for stopping by and your kind comments. I am back to say, I lost all the blogs I follow on my dashboard. The google friends connect is still there but all that I follow is gone in the reading list. I will have to find blogs using google plus now. So that means lots are lost. Not a fan of this.]Wishing you a blessed week. Hugs and Joys, xo

Well... who knows how this will affect our readers... but at least we will all still be following each other... I did put a gadget on my blog a few years ago that allows people to follow me with an email announcement, so hopefully they can use that!! xoxo
