A WISH FOR A DOLL IN BLACK !

One of my very dear frieds, whom celebrated her birthday last week,
-when asked for her wish, she said a doll in black !!
So off I went to the piles of fabric and laces , to see if I
had something beautiful, in black.
Black, not being the color I mostly use, made me think, it could
be difficult, but I found some beautiful piec es to use.

Tulle with embroidery , wonderful shiny pieces, pearls, and
flowers , -I was happy to see them form a wonderful dress !!

'
She got long black/grey hair, as well and a velvet hat.

She is now received ,and live far away :-)

The little heart was created for another friend,-
I love doing such tiny embroidered pieces, -the process
of slow sewing is so relaxing and peaceful.

This weekend we celebrate my dear Mathilde`s birthday,
which I look so much forward to.
So wishing you all a wonderful weekend,

Thank you all for your kind visits, they mean a lot to me, and are treasured !!

Hugs and love
Dorthe

Goodness - she's a dramatic creature - beautiful and exotic in black, with that wonderful silvery hair. I'm sure she will find love wherever she goes. An adorable heart too. I'm the opposite of you... anything with sewing is very stressful for me, whether sewing by hand or failing to sew with a machine!

Dear Dorthe, that doll is stunning. I guess by now you know how much I like working with black myself, so I really appreciate your beautiful work on this doll outside your comfort zone. Your friend must love it! And the heart is every bit as lovely. Enjoy celebrating with your family. I hope that you have a great time! Hugs, Sue

No matter the color of the ingredients you manage to make artful treasures dear Dorthe ♥
The black doll is charming and extra special with her lovely gray tresses!
The sweet face on that pretty heart you made makes me think of your precious Mathilde. Hand stitching is very peaceful and meditative I find too. French Knots are a favorite embroidery stitch of mine.
Happy you had more special time with your beautiful family. Mathilde is growing in leaps and bounds.
Sending hugs to you from Virginia oxoxo

There is gorgeous drama to this doll and Bravo to you for finding such lovely black fabrics and trims to create the doll, to dress her. I am always in awe of the personality you bring to your dolls, you create them so they become people who we can easily believe have personalities of humans.
The heart is the sweetest, I can imagine that slow stitching brings calm moments, letting time slip away.
