MY TAKE ON FOLDING BOOKPAGES ,TO CREATE A CHRISTMAS DISPLAY!!

Way back in Oktober, my friend Astrid  from http://astridsartisticefforts.blogspot.dk/
showed a kind of tutorial, about how to create a wonderful book "adventure".
Click the link and se her amazing autumn book, it is totally stunning:

Thank you my dear Astrid, for your step by step tutorial, I hope it was ok,-
me lending your methode - xoxo

*******

I got so inspired and so in love with trying to create one myself, but wanted
to do a christmas version.

And here is the result , a winter wonderland of snow and glitter,
girls sledging and deers and a rheindeer passing in the background.

You can see how the book is folded and then decorated after.

The little family is a die cut from Memorybox ,

and the flower string is different pieces strung together,to make an icy appearance.

I am not sure about the beautiful image, so if any of you know
from where it is I will love to hear from you.

This is one of the few pieces I have created for christmas, apart from cards,
it is now in my sitting room in a window !!

Have you created christmas pieces for yourself to enjoy?
If not I hope you will have time to do that!!

It is raining and storming again, and I`m happy to be inside,
and to be able to send you all warm sunday and second Advent  greetings.

Much love and hugs
Dorthe

Oh Dorthe, this is absolutely stunning!!!! I am so very happy that my little effort inspired you to make this (and thank you for linking back to me). Your Christmas book is absolutely amazing!! So much beautiful detail, I just love your deer and the whole way you have put this together!

I still really want to make one for Christmas, but am not sure I will manage it as my family is arriving in 6 days time and I still have so much to do....

Hope all of your Christmas preparations are going well and happy 2nd advent to you!!!
Much love
Astrid

Hello dear, what a fabulous book art! Love your beautiful take on it. A true Christmas treasure.
Here it has been storming and pouring with rain too, but everything is much more calm now.
Wishing you a happy week, hugs from Holland :)

Oh my dear Dorthe what a stunning book you have created all with the most inspirational Astrid's guidance! It is amazing! So many pages and decorated with the most inspiring Christmas decorations and that deer family is so very beautiful.
I can just see it sitting on your window sill surrounded by all your
other Christmas decorations.
Hope you are keeping snug and warm all wrapped up this Wintery evening.
It must almost be snowing there now??
Sending my love and hugs on the coming snowflakes,
Suzy

Dorthe,
I Love your book! It is so pretty, like all of your creations. I saw one of these used as a place to insert and display Christmas Cards that are received from Friends and i thought that was a clever idea. Yours has so many accents, it wouldn't need any cards to adorn it further!
hugs,
Betsy

You are so clever, Dorthe, always ready to try new things and always making such a wonderful job of it. The altered book is amazing. I wonder how long it took you to fold all those pages so neatly. It is so beautifully embellished, the deer at the top are especially lovely. I hope your health is still improving, so that you are properly well for Christmas. xxx
