Lately I bought some new materials, to play with, -among them something called Inka gold,
some Distress  Acrylic Paint dappers from T.H. and something called Terra..a
gel like medium super cool to use with the stencils!

I used a very loved Paper Whimsy image- and some Tim Holz dies I borrowed from my dear friend Bettina- the flowers and the gear--also added an old  watch wheel!

Here you can see the wonderful effect created with the Terra and a stencil!
I sewed with gold thread around the sweet girl, and added the Inka gold to the
stenciled parts! Please Click the photoes for bigger pictures!!

Yesterday I attended the first bigger fleamarket here this year! And I was very'
very pleased with my finds!!!
Look here at all the wonderful  old wooden pieces- I love such things!

A close up of some of them! and two silver salt/pheffer shakers.

An old bowl- very tarnished -with a smaller inside... I love when
they look old and used!

I also found some beautiful lace pieces -

two table cloths with lovely embroidered flowers,-an old box-some
pearls  and zinc key holes..

Isen`t those old handmade laces amazing!!

Brought home a roll of wall paper ,too- it will look beautiful in collages,
with it`s satin finish!!

And the last thing I will show is an old box- normally used to store
the silk stockings from dayes gone by----but here used to fill older
sewing notions inside!!

I love to open up such a treasure box!!

What have you experiensed and created this weekend- my
treasured friends??? I would love to know!!

What ever it is, I hope you have had-and have a beautiful sunday!!
Here it has been grey and rainy since yesterday evening- and
I`m very pleased with that, as our garden was so very dried up!!

I hope you are all having some happy hours and sends you
warm hugs, and love.

Hello dear Dorthe,
It has been stormy here too. But I love it! As long as it is not hot I am happy.
Oooooh, what a fine collage! I love it! This new product you found is interesting. You have used it to create quite a wonderful texture! I did click on the images to see closer. What a lovely collage!
And your new flea finds are fab! I have loved wooden things all my life. Your new goodies make my heart sing too! And your new bowl is gorgeous. I love all your new laces, wow, you really were lucky to find them! They are beautiful!
Yay for you! Lots of new things to get inspired about!
This weekend I have done some more work in preparations for My Garden Tea blog hop....I began painting two chairs and a table. All found very cheaply. Yay! I will share soon.
I hope you are well. I am glad you are getting the rain your garden needs.

What a wonderful hanging - so glad you've found the Terra - I think it's so cool to use, and it certainly looks great here1 The stitching on the image is a lovely touch, and that rusty wire hanging the whole thing up is brilliant. Love your Fleamarket Finds too... lots of lovely treasure!!

Liebe, liebe Freundin Dorthe! 🌸💕💜
Please let me say first my very big thank to you, for your sweet and lovely comments of my Blog! It means so muc for me and it is alway sich a great Joy to read your words, dear friend.
But now, let me say, your Art is looking so schön und verträumt. The colors, you used are so amazing. Ich liebe diesen roten Farbton! He gives a promise for more, espescially more dreams, dreams for girls and woman, in their own space and retreat.
Deine Flohmarktschätze sind also so fine and romantic. I love your Wonderful bowl, the laces and The Tischdecken.

Hier ist es recht ruhig, weil es viel regnet. Wir sehen Filme, arbeiten ein wenig und zupfen "Unkraut" in the garden. Like an old couple :) all things are slowly und es ist sehr angenehm. Mal sehen, wie es morgen wird.
Ich sende Dir viele liebe Grüße und Küsse, liebe Dorthe! Auch wünsche ich Dir und Deiner lieben Familie für morgen und die Woche alles Liebe !
Deine Freundin Erika💜💕🌸

Your collage is amazing using all of those new techniques giving such a rich textural look with the sweet PW image!

You certainly hit the jackpot this time at the flea markets with those wonderful wooden finds, tarnished bowls, precious laces and embroidered tablecloths and of course that sweet treasure box which you have already filled with your vintage buttons etc.
Sometimes we just have to wait to find such special things then all of a sudden in a day there is so much treasure to be found - enjoy!

Wishing you sunshine and love after rain which your garden will be soaking up to grow more beauty!

We had a very full weekend, Friday was my oldest son's college commencement(graduation), he finished school in December, but I wanted to see him in his cap and gown:0) on Saturday, we celebrated with family and friends. No creating, but I am looking forward to an artful week.
Hugs and JOY to you my friend,

Oh Dorthe, your collage is so beautiful and delightful. I love your style so much.
Your flea market finds are great too. I'm curious what you design with all this gorgeous stuff.
The weather here is to run away :-) 10 degrees Celsius and in the Black Forest it's snowing at 900 meters. That has never happened before at this season. The whole world is crazy, right?
Have a nice rest of the week my dear friend.

Oh dearest, you are a girl after my own heart! I would have bought every single thing you brought home from the flea!!!! It's probably a great thing we don't shop together :) Even the stocking box is divine! and speaking of divine----your collage is so beautiful! The new techniques make it so very lovely. I always feel so inspired after seeing your artwork and it makes me want to get my 'stuff' out and work away. I have learned SO much from are a great teacher and inspiration!

I have the same problem with my lilacs too Dorthe. I hammer the ends and they still don't last. Usually only long enough to scent the house beautifully and take a few pictures of them. And then in the winter I will look at the photos again and the sweet scent comes back to me again. I think that is the main reason I love taking photos of the flowers so much :)
much love from me...
