PAGES FROM A NATURE JUNK BOOK-

It seems rather a long time since I was here,, but wanted to
show you what I have been trying to distract myself with through the
last many weeks, of covid-19 worry .

The book is made with old coffee dyed papers, and envelopes , and here
are the first 5 spreads . I used old pieces of papers, and fabrics, from my
paper and fabric junk-boks - handmade flowers and tags.
If you click the photo, you will have a bigger image .

And papers from https://papergarden.fi/gb/ a lovely Finnish shop .like
the Lily -of -the -Valley above and others. The birds are all from
an old nature journal.

The stamps are from FB : June Mac ------and the tree stamp below ,and some words

There are little clusters like the one below flower rosettes
and old book pages, already yellowed by time .

I so hope you are all safe and well ,-- here we try the best and
only goes out for a walk every day, and not meeting many persons .

Take care dear friends, all over the world, we are in this all together
and we will stay positive , hopefully, with a daily creative time .

Hugs and love
Dorthe

Love your work, Dorthe. I always get excited when I see a post from you in my email. These pages are so interesting and complex. I am dying to try some of my own. It's tricky being at home all the time with my daughter and her twin nine-yr-old boys. Not much quiet time or much space.

I hope you stay well and can keep your spirits up. Just have to take one day at a time. That's the only way for me to stay sane these days.

Take care. I'll be looking forward to another post in the (near) future.

Your book is simply stunning Dorthe Dear. We are the fortunate ones who have our Creative Bliss outlets. Staying safe and well here too. Daily walks or drives to keep distanced from others. Staying hunkered down at home. Prayers for our World.

Another amazing show piece dearest Dorthe what a lovely distraction this must be from the worries of the world outside. Again I see those little clusters full of history altered by your talented hands, how lovely do those aged pages look with your chosen ephemera and edges of lace.
Another creation that I could flick through and enjoy each and every day. You are such an inspiring creative, think I may just need to get mine out again today.
I hope you and the family are well, the world has us in worry from every corner. Although I am not in complete isolation due to having the responsibilities of a carer It's amazing how our restricted freedom can weigh so heavy on us all.
Please take care dear friend & stay safer than safe.
Creative wishes Tracey xx

This looks like a perfect distraction from the fear and trouble facing us. i could get lost just looking at these pages, so I can imagine what it was like to lose yourself in creating all the layers of texture and beautiful imagery. The papers and fabrics and natural colour tones all work in harmony to create a journal of serenity and delight. It really is exquisite, Dorthe. I do hope you are keeping safe and well.
Hugs (virtual, non-infectious ones!) and love,

I can't tell you how thrilled I was to pop over to your blog and find some new work to enjoy - it's always such a pleasure to see what you have been doing and this is totally delightful. Such beauty, and impossible for me to pick out favourite bits as it is all so gorgeous! Once again I love your beautiful and gentle colours and the way you combine all your elements in your very own 'Dorthe style'!
I hope you are coping with these difficult times and staying safe and well.
Hugs, Diana xx
