Hello dear friends

Thought I better post something before August is all gone ,
and have just finished this piece using  one of Tim Holz pressed leaf,
-the bird is from an old book , and it is all mounted on an
envelope I once was gifted from Anni , my dear Danish friend .

Also used eco-dyed papers , and gifts from dear Lynne ,
stamps and fabric.

It is so hot here the last days, more than my head and body
likes to deal with , - but also lovely with a sunny end of August.

I hope you are all enjoying the last weeks of summer , or what period you are
in,  winter ,autumn , fall , all beautiful in each their way .

Hugs and love
Dorthe

Scrumptious! I love it all, especially how you incorporated the stick - aka a perch for your sweet little bird.

Happy crafting, sweet one!

Very nice, Dorthe. The bird and branch and the pops of pink and green all add interest. I have never stitched on paper before but seeing your work here inspires me to try it.

Nice to hear from you and see what you've been up to!

Take care and I will look forward to your next post.

This one is magical Dorthe! I always love your delightful mix of nature, paper, and textiles! I see your 'signature' with the twig she is resting on~ and the stitching is so lovely. I like the look of it being on the envelope! Beautiful colors on the flowers and summer to autumn feel! Hugs to you, karen o

Thank you Naomi , for your lovely visits here, I have several times tried to look you up, but can`t find you , only on your name.
But so kind of you, - yes you should try, it is easy and looks wonderful I think .
Take care you, too- greetings from Dorthe

Dearest Dorthe what a beautiful way to use up gifted elements and stitch them together giving new life by creating a new story for us all to enjoy, it's as if all that ephemera was made to be together. Using the green around the edge frames it all perfectly. Thank you for your comment earlier today, i'm late getting round to everyone after our week away. It's lovely to take a break but always takes me double the time to get back on my feet.. So many things to do and people to tend to. I'm beginning to think I will never catch up with it all.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, yes they come around so quickly.
Big Hugs Tracey xx P.S Take good care now xx

This is so beautiful Dorthe, I love that there's a real stick in there for your bird to perch upon. It's been so warm here too, but it's turned a little cooler thank goodness! Have a very happy weekend, Sue xx

Oh, wonderful... two posts to catch up with! Sorry I'm so late to this one...

It's lovely to see so much colour here - it has a feeling of spring, but then that leaf reminds us that the changing seasons are coming too. The bird perched on his twiggy branch is just perfect, and I love how the colour of the stamp echoes the flowers. Wonderful mail art with your gorgeous eco-dyed papers... this is really special.
