WINTER WHITE

Even not much winter here, yet .... I have been inspired
to create this winter white piece , using an old doily .
Remnants of white lace,

a woolen snowflake and a tiny embroidery.

At last a lovely image and beautiful , mother of pearl looking sequins

Even we have not had real winter, I dare not wish for snow,
as then it could happen it suddenly was over us, with full power, lol.

Already soon weekend again, so dear friend- all the best for you for a
happy and lovely weekend.

Hugs and love
Dorthe

This is so pretty Dorthe, those sequins look beautiful, and I hope that this is the only snowflake that you get! We haven't done too badly for snow so far, but as you say this can soon change. Have a very happy weekend, Sue xx

This is so beautiful Dorthe - all the little things sewed on and it is such a charming feminine look. I am with you not to wish for more snow - I think also that we had enough this year but after two days of sunshine and some degrees over zero they unfortunately forecast snow for next week again. It is still winter , isn't it?
I love this wonderful Mixed Media piece. I am curious about what you do with it. Just a hanger or will you create a fabric book or cover?
It's gorgeous!

Happy weekend my friend!
Hugs, Susi

How could I have nearly missed this Dorthe, a beautiful way to use those remnants embellished with your pretty mother of pearl sequins. An ode to Winter indeed. Apart from days when it has been cooler than usual we too can be thankful that we have not seen the fierce side of Winters face unlike other friends across the world.
The Lady looks so graceful upon your display, maybe she too is thankful that Winter has been kind so far.
Wishing you a peaceful Sunday, hoping you are keeping well.
Take care dear Dorthe Big Hugs Tracey xx

Love your winter whites Dorthe, such a beautiful textural delicate piece! The little touches of embroidery and other elements all work perfectly together round that beautiful image. Just gorgeous!!

We have hardly had any snow this year and I am happy about that, I cannot wait for Spring to arrive.... I much rather see winter art like yours than winter outside....

Hope you will have a good Sunday and a lovely week ahead! xxx

We've had snow again here in New York, so this is right on time seasonally! I love the variations of texture and material - the sequins are wonderful for catching the light and the tiny portrait draws the eye. Beautiful wintry collaging.

Så nydelig Dorthe. Her har vi hatt utrolig mye snø, men nå er det mildvær og snøen smelter bort. Håper på en tidlig vår.

Lovely and soft like your Winter. We have had very rare snow here in Southern Utah. 1” and then 4” and another 4”. It is beautiful and melts as fast as it comes down from heaven. Not like we had to suffer in Northern California with steep terrain and ice and lasting forever! Winter Blessings Dorthe Dear...xo
