A SUMMERS DAY

YES , we have a new challenge , and one we can all relate to :

A SUMMERS DAY  ( Summery images )

And here is my sample . One of my favorite White Greyboards
onto which I stamped, my favorite from Lynne`s new Wildflower Stamps,
using Archival Ink. Also the wonderful butterfly from Melina`s newest
stampsets was stamped with the same ink- and for both using the
Stamp Platform .

Onto the bottom I created crackle effect using the crackle glace - and brown and white
acrylic paint.  The butterfly was painted using watercolors, and Posca pens.
On the top panel I stenciled a word, from Lynne`s wonderful new stencil affirmations,
using Texture Paste.

I outlined the pattern on the butterfly with a sharpie , and added little dotted
details to the wildflowers.  Also the new Stitch stencil was used with the brown sharpie,
and brown acrylic paint on the right side , top and buttom panel .
The painted background in  Mint- was dabbed directly onto the panel , around the stamped images .

Last I added a tiny branch, from the garden onto which I wound pieces of
babies wipe, used to dry up  Flat Matte Spray , Basil ,--from an earlier  creation.
The butterfly got a body with a tiny piece of branch, too- and the Imagination
was sprayed with diluted Chestnut Brown, and I draw around every letter with the brown
sharpie .

I hope your summer also gives lots of inspiration to take part in the challenge.
The winner of this challenge will receive a £30 voucher to spend in our online shop and our Top 3 will receive a stencil/s of their choice from our own That's Crafty! brand.

Please make sure to read our challenge rules before entering. We have had a few entries recently that do not link back to us and unfortunately, these entries will be deleted.

I see that wonderful use of pale hues of colour again Dorthe. Your painted butterfly dancing in the breeze above those graceful wildflowers with that stitched edge framing it all beautifully. A wonderful piece of mixed media.
Big hugs Tracey xx
