GOING AROUND IN CIRCLES NO. 2

Have you visited the http://thatscraftychallenges.blogspot.dk/  lately, to see all
the CHALLENGE pieces , from both the DT , and all the ones taking part !!
So many fantastic creations, to be inspired by, and  :

this challenge will run until 10am, Wednesday 2nd May. Our next challenge will start at 11am on Wednesday 2nd May.

The winner of this challenge will receive a £30 voucher to spend in our online shop and our Top 3 will receive a stencil/s of their choice from our own That's Crafty! brand.

Please make sure to read our challenge rules before entering.

My inspiration creation for this second Challenge is made on mostly
a piece of crumpled copy paper, after adhered to a White Greyboard Panel ,
I used Multi Surface Paints in Teal and Chestnut Brown , first dabbing over the paper
with very diluted colors. After dry I stamped the script , from Textures Collection  Stamp  Set 3
.The big circle with a smaller inside, is actually the roll from a finished taperoll-
as I wanted a big circle . Also used is the smaller circle from .
Textures Stamp Set - 2

Onto tissue paper, I stamped Donna Gray`s beautiful tree, from her
Carved Whimsy Wood stamp set. I tore around the perimeter
and adhered it to the paper with Multi Purpose Craft Adhesive.
Another few circles were stamped on top of it .
From Lynne`s Affirmations set 3 -the line of birds was stamped onto a rest of the painted copy paper,
with Sky Blue, Brilliance ink , torn out and also adhered to the paper.
The tree trunk was extended a bit, by stamping the end of the trunk , between the line of birds. and sewed and adhered to the paper, too.

With my sewing machine I sewed around one of the big circles , with teal thread, and
cut the thread to hang ,dangling.  4 teal buttons from my stash was also sewed onto the paper .
Paper was adhered to the panel, and also a piece of canvas, netting, teal fabric ,below the
birds. Lynne`s Affirmation ,from set 1 was stamped and adhered to the teal fabric, and another
button carefully sewed on.  Around the perimeter of the panel I painted with diluted Chestnut Brown ,and stamped a few buttons, from Textures Collection Stamp Set -3.

I think this ends my rather long story, and am thanking you so very much if you followed
me all the way to here :-)

Love and hugs
Dorthe

It's that winning colour combination again Dorthe and it warms my heart. Donna's tree is fabulous surrounded by all those circles. Your buttons make a great addition along with the stitching, i'm always so nervous when i'm stitching in circles. A beautiful take on the challenge. Thank you for sharing.
Wishing you well and plenty of sunshine Big Hugs Tracey xx
