Winter is here, but on and off , ....one day snow,
the other rain, so what better that stay inside for
a little creative time !
This card I made for a friend, using papers
and Islandic moss for the nest.
The bird is a die cut from PaperArtsy
and the lovely stamp of leaves from Memory BOX .
I also used a piece of paper napkin for the
stamping of quote , on the white layer, from behind
the postage stamps.
The color is Infusions Inks.
This is a display on my chest of drawers.
I could not lay away the stunning angel stander, I was gifted
of my dear friend Lynne, after Christmas, so it is still here,
and also the most beautiful card she created for me.
Both so gorgeous, and amazing.
The old silver bowl holds hearts from friends, and to the left
I have my collection of little, old ,red jewelry boxes .
I hope your first January week was filled with lovely hours, and wishes
you all a wonderful new week.
Hugs and love
Dorthe

Our January has also begun with days of rain and snow and wind and hail and lots more rain. After five years of extreme drought we welcome the rain. Your treasures are so lovely and you should leave them out to enjoy. Blessings and Winter Bliss Dear...
Very pretty card Dorthe with lots of lovely little elements. Your home display looks beautiful too. Nicola x
Your card is so beautiful Dorthe, I love the way you did the bird and the nest looks just amazing with the dimension you have given it!!
I am not surprised you could not put away Lynne's beautiful gifts, and why should you, I think they are beautiful enough to show all year round!
Hello Dear Dorthe!
Happy January to you! Seems our weather here is no different than yours- have to admit, I would rather see some fluffy white snow than the dark cold rain!
Your card is beautiful, I do love how you have layered it, especially the moss! thank you for sharing your creativity!
sending warm hugs,Jackie xx
Beautiful card, so wistful with all that texture, love it. Pops of vintage red, those are wonderful. xox
I absolutely adore your card, Dorthe - what a lovely idea to use the moss for the nest, and the colours are so atmospheric. I do pity the birds out there in these wintry grey days - we try to make sure there's always some food for them. Lovely to see your gift from Lynne still there to cheer these dark January days.
