BEAUTIFUL ECO DYING !!!

I have played a bit more with eco-dying and love those results I got this time.
I find it hard to get really good results, and think I have to study my
India Flint book some more.

This is a bath made with a weed from the roadside ,I will have to find out it`s name!!
It gives a most lovely old-rosa tone .

This is the same plant, but with more water in the pot, and with a dried plant!!
Love I can see the rusted key I packed inside the bunddle .

Watercolour paper damped in pot with leaves from Eucalyptus inside!!

And the same plant as the rosa toned laces ,here also damped  between
watercolour papers!!

Some time ago I was a very happy and lucky winner of this beautiful magazine,
which is not possible to purchase here in Denmark- so when

MICHELLE LOUISE  from : http://petitemichellelouise.blogspot.dk/

announced I was the winner,- I jumped of joy , knowing she herself have
2 pages showing her lovely decorations ,and creations, inside !!!
And it is a very beautiful number !!
Thank you so much my dear friend , I love it !!!

Those wonderfully soft coloured french buttons, I purchased from my sweet LIZ : http://lululizinvintageland.blogspot.dk/

Aren`t they beautiful!!! and as the dear generous friend Liz is ,she
also send me little treasures to play with and a beautiful button tag.
It is so lovely,-thank you my dearest friend,- HUGS and KISS !!!

Now my sweet grandkids and my daughter left the island ,and returned home,
to start school , first year for Mathilde,-seventh year for Gustav ...they becomes
so grown up,and they are dearly missed here, where the house became
so quiet and emthy-like after they left!!
So what better ,than start blogging again, helping me getting back in swing again!!

Thankyou for your alwayes loving comments, and understanding ,and for being
such wonderful friends !!

Love and hugs to you all!!
Dorthe

Knus, Emilie

I am so glad you have had a lovely time with your family Dorthe, the time passes so quickly. Your eco dyeing is beautiful. I also have the same book and just to look at it is so inspirational. I think it is a case of experimenting a lot but I love your lovely fabrics, lace and papers you have created especially the key. Jayne x

Hi there!
Love your blog and this post!
Have you got a photo of the roadside weed that you can post on your blog?
I want to do some Eco dyeing and plan to have a raised bed in the garden devoted to dyers plants.
The book you mention, India? Is that just about Eco dyeing?

So many questions!

Kind regards,

Sandie xxx

Oh Dorthe, those papers look amazing, such lovely soft tones, they will look wonderful in your garden journal or in any number of other projects for sure! Love the rusty key in print. India Flint is doing a workshop here in Scotland next week, but it was a bit too expensive for me to attend,,, (nearly £500 for 3 days). I think I will save up for her book to learn more.

Your package is full of little treasure too, how beautiful!

I know what it must feel like now that your grand children have left again. I miss my little grand daughter very much, but it is lovely for us to have you back in blog land!

I think you are very good at dyeing Dorthe - that "rosa" colour is so pretty and soft. It must be a wonderful treat to take things from the dye-pot and see what magic you have created... and then you get to make beautiful things with them.
I hope you have had a wonderful time with your family Dorthe!

Liebe Dorthe,
your Ding laces and fabrics are wonderful! I love this amazing kind of coloring fabrics. Many years ago I did this with wool, so I know this Kick, when the stuff came out from The color bath. In the deep of my Storage are a few Reste so it could going on. Ich freue mich für Deine zarten Farben. Ich finde das Färben mit Pflanzenfarben auch wundervoll. In this moments I would love more space for this pretty Things. Lucky you!
