VINTAGE STYLE COLLAGE

Another week have gone, and already it is saturday again.
I created this collaged hanger for a friend, and hope it will soon
arrive at her doorstep.

The wonderful image is from http://www.digitalcollagesheets.com that I fell
in love with when seing dear  NANCY  from http://sugarlumpstudios.com/
using them in a beautiful creation.

I used different pieces,  like old laces, both handmade
and machine made- papers- the top of the flower was
attatched a gift from a dear friend. The sisters are transferred to cloth.

The beautiful nature heart, is actually  seaweed of a kind, having these lovely
endings to it- isen`t nature amazing!

Like " my " Baltic sea this week ,where we had a huge storm,
with waves very high-my fhoto does not show it really, but it
was a fantastic sight- Today the sun shines beautifully, but they
already again have "promised" us a huge snowstore the coming dayes!
I know many of you are screaming for spring,too...
lets hope together it will soon be here.

Welcome to new followers, I am happy to see you arrive, and
follow me, and try to get around to say hello.

Sending you all precious friends much
love and hugs.
Dorthe

Good morning my dear Dorthe,
What a beautiful wall collage you have created here for some very lucky person. The image from DCS is so very sweet. They do have some beautiful sheets there! The colours are so vintage, beautiful papers and love the heart fashioned from the sea speaking of which I see some big big waves after a storm! The crashing waves must be so loud!
It's wonderful that you can possibly soak up this warming sun to fill your heart with joy!
Sending some Autumnal stillness in beautiful soft soft light with love for a lovely weekend!
Your Suzy

Dear Dorthe, this is so beautiful! I love it in all its vintage goodness. The different layers and textures so seamlessly combined. The transfer of the vintage image onto the fabric is perfect, I so admire people who can manage that!! The little seaweed heart is the perfect finishing touch! I hope this weekend will bring you lots of sunshine still before the next snow arrives!!

A really lovely collage Dorthe, I love all the lace and pretty additions.
There is no sign of an improvement in the weather here. it's still cold and wet, but the birds are singing and the days are getting longer so maybe Spring is just waiting in the wings.

That's such a beautiful collage, my dear Dorthe. Your friend will be very happy to receive such a wonderful gift.
I'm sorry to hear that there still is no real spring weather coming up for you. It had gotten cold again during the nights here but it warms up at daytime. With all the rain it doesn't feel very springlike though either.
Have a lovely week, sweetie!
Big hugs og mange kys,
Julia

Oh Dorthe, you have again made quite fantastic artwork! Really adorable! Your friend must be very happy about it.

Thanks for the sea photo. The week before last, it was almost 20 degrees here and it suddenly snowed last week. This is so crazy! When spring starts?

Hi Dorthe!

Your collage looks wonderful! Every piece fits so well together! I love that little heart in it!

Beautiful picture of the sea! I never get tired to watch waves becoming to shore, and the sound of them...so relaxing.

I hope the storm will soon be over and sun shines for you in the blue sky. Here in Finland it´s freezing cold even -26 degrees, can you imagine!
In the news I heard that there hasn´t been such cold days in March for 50 years.. What a spring :-/

Have a great week!

That is a lovely vintage piece you have created!
I agree with you, Nature is amazing! Where you live you get up close and personal with Nature! Living so close to the sea you must experience some powerful weather and beautiful sights.
We are having many flowering trees and bulbs bloom. So I think spring will arrive on time for us. I hope it is not too far away for you too : ) Hopefully your snow won't be too much. Maybe it will be the last hurrah.
Hugs,
Terri

Guten Morgen, liebe Dorthe!
Danke schön für Deinen Besuch auf meinem Blog und Deine lieben Worte!
So nice to read you!

Thinking about you and your lovely little island.
Deine Erika

Tak for din søde hilsen kæmpe varme krammer Mette.

Dearest Dorthe
You've created from your heart a beautiful collage for your special friend.
The old hand made lace looks exquisite and I think I've got that sweet sisters image too somewhere (my cupboard needs a tidy up so I can find things)!!
Only you dear Dorthe would think of a seaweed heart - how beautiful, Mother Nature creates beauty for us to find and use.

I clicked on your photos and those waves on the Baltic Sea are GINORMOUS! I do a lot of yachting so I can tell – how wonderful.
You will be looking forward to the Spring days so you can walk along the sand finding your treasured driftwood pieces for your art – I hope it comes soon for you!
Love and hugs
Shane ♥

Hello dear Dorthe, hope you're well and hanging in there with the snow storms, I'm so much dying for spring too! Your collage is so beautiful, with the gorgeous image you found. I LOVE the texture of the net-like lace on the left. And the beautiful handwritings and flower. And is that really real seaweed? That's stunning! Nature is so wonderful and amazing indeed. Love your stormy sea photo, thank you for sharing with us. I always think it's wonderful to see a little bit of the area where blogfriends live.
Thank you dear Dorthe for your sweet comments on both my blog and flickr pages, it's always a pleasure to hear from you.
Big hug and happy Tuesday!

Your description of the wild seas is wonderful ... I hope spring finds you very soon ... here in the Washington DC area it is very chilly, the daffodils are shivering in the cold on this first day of spring ;)

Dear Dorthe
It is late but I wanted to catch-up and see if you had a recent post and you did not disappoint.
Oh this is sublime, that adorable image (I must look at the link) and the colours you used and the flower you created. Whoever you sent this to will treasure for a lifetime as it is so special.
This weekend I would like to spend time on some Springtime projects, as you know I am not creating as much at the moment and so I am late with projects I want to make.
Will catch-up with you over the weekend my friend.
Wishes
Lynne
P.S. A beautiful photograph!
