A STITCH IN TIME - CHALLENGE TIME

YES challenge time again, and this months called
Click the link to go there :-) to see all my DT friends,
also showing their wonderful challenge pieces .

I used a White Greyboard panel as background, but created all onto
a simple craft paper , to which I added very diluted black and little white
paints  .- After dry I stenciled with the new Stitches stencil - 3 rows
of stitches ,using the Light Texture Paste .

The heart  from Lynne`s set 3- looking very stitched, was stamped onto
a scrap of yellowed paper , and torn around the perimeter, to give place
to sew , one straight line and one zigzag line, on the sewing mashine ,leaving
long thread ends to hang from the hearts.

They were adhered on top of two pieces of thin fabric ,
already in black tones, - 4 buttons were sewn to a piece of white cardboard ,each ,
and adhered to right side of panel. Extra white threads were attached under the
hearts, and a rest of cardstock torn , run over the edges with Archival Jet black,
and after I wrote : Stitch , and adhered it to left side panel .
Two strings of metallic thread  was made to hanger, after punching two holes
in the top panel !

I think this is it :-) and wishes you a wonderful Wednesday .
It is my daughters birthday today, so for me a very happy day !!

Hugs and love
Dorthe

Your hanging panel piece is a joy to see, a display of real and faux stitches. The stitches stencil gives such precise lines when used, so useful. I love Lynnes crocheted hearts the perfect addition along with your row of buttons.

OMGoodness, Dorthe ... this is to die for. I love everything about it. And I must say I'm a little jealous about the sewing part. Can't quite get that down.

Happy stitching!

Hi Dorthe~
This project is fabulous! It is primitive in some respects; but soft and vintage as well. I love to see these uniquely layered textural creations of yours!
Dorthe I was sure those hearts were hand stitched! until I read you stamped them~ All your layers are beautiful <3 Thanks for sharing. Hugs to you, karen o

Wow - your embroidered hearts are stunning - and I love the cross stitch borders at the sides. The b&w monochrome scheme is really dramatic too. This theme was perfect for you, wasn't it?!
