MY JANE AUSTEN DOLL !!

I have a very dear friend, whom lately celebrated her birthday, and knowing
she is very fond of all things Jane Austen, I desided to create ,for her,
a Jane -doll-

I found a face from the period,- in my collection of purchased digital sheets,- which
is often used to illustrate the figures in Jane Austen`s stories.
It was transferred to fabric, and then made to a 3-d head.
Her body was drawn freehand, sewn and dressed in ,something
likely to have been worn, back in late 1700- first 1800.

You can`t se it but she is wearing lovely under wear,
and the bonnet was a must from that time. I had to have a
little bling ,too :-)

I gave her a little collection, of Jane-quotes in her hand , from the same
digital sheet, as her face.

I love to read them, and smile !!!

DEAREST FRIENDS, WITH THIS, OLD LOVELY, TEACUP,
FILLED WITH A REAL BIRDS NEST AND SOME EGGS,
I WISH YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY EASTER.

We miss the sun here, but hopefully it will soon be back,
to brighten the days of spring.

Thank you for visiting and for commenting, it means
so very much to me.

Hugs and love, Dorthe

OH Dorthe ♥ your Jane doll is so beautiful and what a treasure of a gift for your special friend!
Her sparkly necklace suits her and her lovely little book is such fun too.
Your transfer worked brilliantly along with how you fashioned her body.
When my mother made her little dolls she always gave them pretty underwear too :-) She would have so enjoyed your doll creations and everything you do.
Happy to have some time to catch up with you my dear friend.
Having our son home has not left me much time for myself helping him get ready for his hiking trip and enjoying his company too.
Lots of cooking also LOL.

Hello there my friend! I have returned from my visit with family and had to stop in to see your beautiful doll! Your work is so extraordinary Dorthe! Oh my goodness I love all the sweet details you've added to her - The lovely swiss-dot fabric dress, shawl and bonnet seem period perfect. Just right for the early 1800 century; and the little picture book and quotes is delightful! She is wonderful Dorthe~ Peace and blessings to you dear friend~ Karen O
