Simply Neutrals Tuesday No. 3

A new week and a new party with dear Wen :

and with her beautiful neutrals !!
It is wonderful to take part and visit all the other participants !!

Here from my beach as, you can see , there are only NEUTRALS ,

Stones ,stones and stones as far your eye can reach !
but also beautiful, laying there, in front of the grey sea !!

This is the front of the book I showed pages from already,
made in a class of Nellie`s , I love the spine with the
beautifully pearl embroidered tulle !!

Another paga inside, -this book is all about nature !!

This wooden piece with the gorgeous rose, I bought as is, some
years ago, in an antique shop in Copenhagen , I think it is beautiful!!

And  maybe you saw this before, as it is one of my christmas cards from last year,
I think I soon have to start ,the creating of more, for this years christmas !!

Thank you dear Wen  for another week of beautiful neutrals .

Hugs and love,
from Dorthe

Oh Dorthe, you know how much I love the sea and beach, especially when it's in beautiful grey and greige tones. So you're making me very happy with your beautiful photos of the beach where you live! Your nature book is stunning sweetie! I so much love your nature inspired works. I feel inspired now to create the book for Suzy's class with a nature theme as well. Your card of last year Christmas, I hadn't seen it before. It's gorgeous! I love the heart and sweet little bunting you added. And that beautiful rose box, oh my, what a great find! Thank you so much for sharing these beauties with me at Simply Neutrals dear, happy to see you joining again this week! Sending you big hugs and wishing you a wonderful week, xxx

Oh those gey and neutral tones of the stones on the beach are simply amazing going on and on as far as the eye can see. So beautiful against the sea of blues and greys.
You already know how much I love your Nature book with the natural binding of bark and netted lace with beads - gorgeous sweetie!
That is such a precious white box with the rose fashioned on top!
Yes I remember well that pre-raphaelite card you created last year and yes you will be soon creating some more of these beauties for Christmas - like me too!
Emailing v. soon my dearest Dorthe,
Sending fondest love,
Suzy

Your beach, Dorthe, looks very much like our beach here in St. Leonards, just pebbles when the tide is in, and sand only when the tide is out. The colours of the beach pebbles are so beautiful though, an incredible variety of shades in those amazing neutral colours.
Ah, and then there are your gorgeous creations, that beautiful fabric book, the stunning card.... your use of neutrals in your collages etc is always so pleasing to my eye. xx

A blog post so soothing and gentle to view from your beloved beach with the neutrals of the pebbles and driftwood to your beautiful artwork. I definitely associate neutrals with you and your art. Gorgeous textures from papers and lace and fabrics and always such special images for the focal of your artwork.
Dorthe, a beautiful post, thank you for sharing.

Dear Dorthe
I love the cover of your Nellie book, the beaded tulle is so soft and feminine.
Your nature page with the birdie is your trade mark with the sweet birdie image -I
love it.
The carved rose on top of the wooden box is beautiful - I would have been drawn to it too as I love all things rosy!
Your Christmas card is so very pretty - a treasured piece of art to frame and keep forever.

Oh Dorthe,
I love your neutral beach stones too. Every beach has its own character, and even a grey day is peaceful and atmospheric. Your book from Nellie's class is to die for. I like the paper bark you have used as a background. I have been collecting paperbark and thinking of using it in a collage, but this is a wonderful idea, in a book. The other page you showed us is a lovely mix of nature and artful beauty. Nellie's influence is so earthy. Your rose box is so sweet, too. And what a beautiful Christmas card.

Such beautiful neutrals, Dorthe - I could sit for hours and gaze out to sea on that wonderful pebbly beach, and your nature journal is looking stunning. A really lovely post, thank you.
