MY FIRST GELLI PLATE ART PIECE, -AND MY FIRST FUSIBLE WEB PLAY !

Woohoo I recieved my Gelli plate yesterday, and had to try using it ,even just for a single sheet of paper!
I used plain copy paper, and only a mix of brown and white,

This is my finished piece, as you maybe can see I used a heavy old
handknitted lace piece on the plate ( and added 2 of the real pieces of it  ,too)
It came out pretty lovely ,I think...

The rest of the pattern I achieved by adding water to the paint and then
press the paper onto the plate, which made the colour kind of run because of the
oil in the plate, and gave this sweet pattern. Please click the photo for a better look!

The other playful piece I made was inspired from a free download from
http://www.clothpaperscissors.com/  last week, where they showed how to use
fusible web as background for thin paper napkins-and other papers....

Here is the sheet I fused- stamped ,painted and .....
The feeling is the same as of a lovely soft piece of fabric!

And here after cutting in smaller pieces a card made on embossed cardboard
adding a piece of corugated cardboard, laces and tulle!

This is another piece from the sheet where I used one of JUNES
http://dezinaworldstore.blogspot.co.uk/   beautiful freebies from her
shop-  :  the little girl, so waiting for spring and summer to arrive!
Just like we do here !!!

So very  welcome to you new followers, I`m kind of in a stressed period now,
but hope to visit all of you in time !
HAPPY 1 MAY !!
I wish you all precious friends a happy rest of the week.
Love and hugs,Dorthe

Dorthe, I would love to see what a gelli plate is. I have never seen one. Looks like mono printing and it's very pretty, definitely a tool worth having for your collage work.

Both are truly stunning dear Dorthe! The Gelli background with just those two colours is so subtle and forms a beautiful background for the sweet image. The second piece is probably one of my all time favourite pieces of yours, I adore it!! All the different elements are so beautifully fused together in to a perfect whole, - a stunning piece of art!!

Knus, Emilie.
